APPLE – THE APPLE I COMPUTER 1975


 1977 – Apple Computer ships its first Apple II personal computer. It sells for US$1298 with 4 KILObytes of RAM and for $2638 you could get it decked out with 48 kB RAM. For comparison, a brand new VW Beetle cost about the same as a decked out Apple.


1977 – 1st TRS-80 Model I computer sold. Radio Shack predicted they’d sell 3,000 a year. They sold 10,000 in the first month and a half.
