I realize it is not your picture, but I wonder why the meme creator left out the unpleasantness in the 1860s. Given that the Military takes an oath to "support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign AND domestic", I'd argue that the Civil War fits. Not a criticism, just an observation.
